  • No

I don't think that you should have one child with some crazy made up name and the other be Michael. If you are going to give your child unique names, stick with the trend and vice versa. My child is Joshua and our next child will either be Brennen or Savannah, the names are more classic. However, I don't think all of the names should have to go together completely. Your children should have individual identities.

i think that you should be able to name your child what ever you wish to. But dont get carried away and name it Honda, Chevy, Ford, potatoe, Apple, Orange, Windex, Tide, Ect. BE creative ,but yet at the same time dont let your ceativity get the best of you.

I'm replying to the previous post... My firstborn's daughter's name is Chevy... it's funny that you say you should be able to name your child whatever you want BUT that name... weird, IMO. But yeah, all in all I pretty much agree with the first post. If you're going to give one creative names, you kind of have to stick with it... =)

give your kid whatever name you want. I dont think your kids names have to fall into any kind of pattern or tradition. The only thing I really hate is rhyming names especially for twins!!!!!!! Yuk! Dont make your kids names sound too alike

I chose to give both my kids Hebrew names but I dont think eveyone else has to. I do think it sounds a bit odd if someone has four kids, three of which have some really unusaly names and then one is named "bob" or something. I think they should at least be in a similar realm.

It just drives me nuts when people name one child Jane (or the like) and then the next child Saffron Lilly Petal.

What Jane wasn't special enough for a fancy name too?? LOL

Me- we have and plan to stick with more unusual but easy to pronounce and spell names.

i have a Lily grace and a Shi Rose... We ended with a flower pattern and never meant to but no I don't think sibling names should go togethr unless you want them to. I used to know a couple who's names were Jan and John and their children were John Jason and Josie. It worked for them, but certaintly would'nt have worked for me.

I think that since each child is an individual you should give them names that are unique to them, including twins. I hate to see Michael and Michelle, Jason and Mason, or Chloe and Zoe. I think a person should put as much time and effort into the name as they would love that child

I hate it when people have all their kids starting with the same initial...drives me crazy! Especially when they spell one of the names wrong to make it go with the others. Rhyming names also are super annoying.

I think the names should be sort of in the same category Unique, Classic, Biblical, Irish, Ghetto, whatever your style is, but still individual to each child.

Name your kids whatever you want. As long as it's a name that you love and that you believe you'll love for the rest of the child's life.
Personally, I like old classic names. I have identical twin daughters. Their names are Hannah Marie and Sophia Lynn.
