with my DS(who's now 8), I did not and he talked early and has huge words in his vocab. With my 1st DD, I did all the time and she is 5 now and still has issues sometimes with her speech. not the sounds but the grammer. With my youngest DD, I only baby talk when she has a bobo, or we are playing. She knows I am playing and thinks I am silly and laughs. She is 23 mths, and also has a huge vocabulary. Has been speaking in sentences since 7 mths old.

I talk to my 10month old as if she was 5years old. My friends make fun of me for it. But I feel she Listens better when I talk to her that way.

No, I've actually done research after hearing it's actually not good for them. I didn't and my son said his first word at 4 months [husband, Doctor and parents all witnessed]. He said mama [not mamamamama] and held his arms out to ME. And says several words now at 9 months.

I never spoke baby-talk to my newborn, much less a kiddo who was actually trying to talk.
