WILLMAR, Minn. - A 50-year-old man told authorities he was fed up with teens toilet-papering his house during homecoming week. This year, he decided to defend his property - with a squirt gun filled with fox urine. Now, Scott Wagar is in trouble with the law. He pleaded not guilty on Wednesday in Kandiyohi County District Court to misdemeanor assault and other charges. He was released on personal recognizance.According to police, on Sept. 16, Wagar used night vision goggles and saw 15-20 people running toward his place. He told them to leave and sprayed them with the fox urine. He also struggled with one teen who he says grabbed him from behind. In an interview with The Associated Press on Thursday

I would hate cleaning that stuff up. But it leaves me wondering, why fox urine?

I see no reason why he couldn't defend his property--within REASON...but I don't think using any kind of urine or anything like that is a great idea. Those kids should've left when he asked them to. That's trespassing if someone tells you to get off their property and you don't.

And the other thing I'd wonder is why they would go ahead and try to TP his house with him RIGHT THERE anyway. He could've just called the cops on them.

He absolutely had the right to protect his property......but fox urine? That's nasty!

A verbal warning, followed by a few warning shots from a shotgun loaded with blanks, would get the message across quite effectively--without any potential health hazard.

How does one obtain fox urine, anyway???? EW!

Good for him! I can't believe the destructive punks went home and cried to mommy. Charging this man is why kids are the idiots they are today. Old man could have pulled out a shotgun, their lucky it was fox urine.

call me crazy but a squirt gun filled with water would be just as effective and less disgusting but i'm guessing that was what he was going for.
in my opinion the adult who sprayed urine at the teenagers is the least mature in this situation.

vinegar and water or ammonia and water would have been just as effective and less likely to cause infection if it got into their eyes. TPing is as American as apple pie. and Yes i have had my house TPed and I have also TPed a friends house. it was an over-reaction to some harmless fun
