I do, but I'm trying not to. My son is still too little to talk, but I figure it's a good habit to break now.

I do. But my swearing isn't sailor quality. I rarely say the "F" word. My husband says it constantly. So far my older 3 kids (who are 8, 7 and 6) understand it is inappropriate for kids to say such words. When they slip up I just remind them to watch their mouths. If they say it on purpose they get in trouble and are reminded they can't use that language until they are adults. So far my 2yo hasn't really done the repeating thing. There's been a few times but she forgot the words after a couple of hours so it hasn't been a problem.

I felt it was more important to teach my child how to gauge what language is appropriate at various times than lie to her and pretend that some words are "bad". We "swear" at home sometimes & she can too, she certainly does with her friends (she is in high school) but never does around people who don't use that kind of language & has always been very sensative to the language others are comfortable with.

Hubby and I told our kids that if they don't hear us say it, then they don't say it either, no matter where else they hear it; so we just don't cuss. We don't need to.

I try very hard not to curse in front of my daughter. But her father has a fairly loose toungue when it comes to that, so she has heard it, and unfortunately repeated it once. We're working on it though, and my fiance is trying to curb the words, lol.
