    Drop the namesake instead of Nicholas James II . Try Nicholas Alexander James. Save Thomas David for the next kid.

    like Nicholas Alexander!!! :Pbve the name Nicholas! Wouldnt want to add (the second, II) to my kids names, My Dh is a second and hates that add on.

    I am not keen on Jr's or II(even tho hubby is one LOL).
    Alexander got my vote. Its classic and just a handsome name.

    I chose Thomas. It's still a nice traditional name, but not nearly as common. The other two are just sooooo popular lately. Plus Tommy is such a cute nickname for a little boy.

    I picked Thomas David. I have an uncle named Thomas David. Good strong name.

    Name him after his dad. My oldest son and my 3rd son are named after family and they both really love having that honor and plan to pass that tradition on.

    use nicholas and pick a different middle name that way he isn't a junior
