Description:
I have three girls, 1 bio and 2 step. Their names are Ashley, Emily and Lily. We are pregnant and I would love to carry on the sound, but we cannot agree on a name. I've also got my mind set on making the last letter a Y. Would you go with the sound, the letter or try to do both? Or am I making this way to big a deal. Thanks for your opinions.

I don't like any of those personally. But I like your idea of having it sound the same. So here are some other names to consider that end in -ly or -ley: Bailey, Holly, Kelly, Kiley, Kimberly, Molly, Nelly, Polly, Sally.

Kayley, Shahailey, Briley. (names of girls I know) of your names I like Abby because the other 3 girls have very timeless short but sweet names and Abby fits with that, you might ask your girls for their opinions

I like Natalie the best. To keep the "ending in 'y'", you could spell it Nataley or Nataly.

To continue with what you already have, which are Ashley, Emily, and Lily all ending in the -ly, or LEE sound, of the names you gave, I like Hayley the best. It falls right in with what you already have.

I don't think you are thinking too much. I totally dig stuff like this and I would go a step further and say that to balance out the names it should be 3 syllables, which is why I voted Natalie. Natalie has 7 letters (Ashley is 6, Emily 5, Lily 4...totally cool) so if you do have the "y" at the end, I think it should be Nataley. Unfortunately, that doesn't look as good. Raeiley, Shelley, Paisley, Haeiley, Rhadley all obey this pattern with a special highlight for Paisley because it is 4 letters past "l" (E in emily is 4 letters past A in Ashley). Some people may not like the name Paisley, however. I do. I think it would be a cool name for a little girl.
(And you thought *you* were thinking too much, haha)

I like Natalie but with a Y. I don't think you are overthinking this. I like that the ending would be with a Y and also the sound would be the same. Whatever you name her will be the one that fits her. Good luck
