My dad is Papa. My oldest daughter started calling him that because the neighbor girl called her grampa that. She was 1 1/2 or so when she started calling him that and it stuck.
    My mil is just Gramma.
My fil and my mom are both dead and are just referred to as Grampa and Gramma Glenna.
My neighbor is Nana. Even my kids call her that which is really cute.

They call my parents "Nana and Poppop". My in-laws are "Granny and PawPaw". My maternal grandma is just "Grandma" and my maternal grandpa was "Pater" (he died almost 4 years ago). My paternal grandparents are "Grandma and Grandpa ______(their last name)".

When I was pregnet with my oldest, my mom said she didn't want to be called grandma cuz then she'd feel old! Also my grandma was alive at the time and she thought she should be the only grandma. So we decided we'd call my my mom nanny. My grandma passed away 9 months after Becky was born, but my mom has still to this day, almost 8 years later, never been called grandma.

She calls my mother Nana, my grandmother Gran, and her father's mother Grandma & her first name. She called my father Pappy (she changed it from papa) & had no other living grandfathers during her life. I have a friend whose children call her parents Nona & Poppy, and her other set of grandparents Oma & Opa.
