I had some problems after my son was born and I was on a lot of meds that made me lose the weight within about 2 weeks. But after I stopped taking it and went back on bc ( depo shot ), I gained a bunch of weight and I'm still trying to lose it. Diet and excercise is the best way to go.

I only gained 26 lbs and lost 20 of them when I gave birth. I was back to 120 lbs 3 weeks after I had my son.

I was all water! I lost most of the weight when my Nat was born, and then once the awful horrible sweeling subsided the rest was gone as well.

With my son I gained 28lbs and when he was born I lost 21lbs, with my daughter was born I had to lose about 20lbs and it took about 2 1/2 months, I have no idea why it took so long to lose it. I had some friends that put on like 50lbs during their pregnancy and it's been about 6 months and they are still trying to lose it. It's just crazy how some women can lose it right away and some can't. I just wanted to see what's the majority of time it takes for women to lose the baby weight since they are always talking about how hard it is to lose. Thanx for sharing everyone!

I lost the weight shortly after my daughter was born...maybe 3-5 months... However I've gained it all back and then some. I found that what I eat and how much really contributes to my weight. More so than before I had kids (when I could eat whatever I wanted and not gain weight).

I actually gain more weight during breastfeeding than pregnancy.

With number 1, it took me 6 weeks. I wasn't in the shape I was in before pregnancy, though.
With number 2.....she's 14 months now, and I still have 5lbs to lose. I've been at this weight for a while now.

I forgot to say, that with number 1, I breastfed and was pretty much a single mom, so I wore myself out.
With number 2, I also breastfeed, and became vegan. I don't get much exercise anymore, which I think is why I can't lose those extra pounds!

My daughter is 7 1/2 and I still haven't lost any of it. I'm horrible.

with my first 3 I dropped right down to my pre pregnancy rate within a week...I got VERY lucky. With my fourth, who is now 11, I have been 20 lbs larger ever since.
