I love the name, but want something original, and not so commonly heard!! Our son has a very uncommon name, so I am hoping the same thing for this baby ( I am just hoping it is a girl, don't know for sure yet!!)

Have you met many Bryleigh's?

  • I have met a couple, but not many

  • I have never met a Bryleigh

  • I know several Bryleigh's

  • Are you kidding me? That name is so popular!

I wasn't even sure what you were talking about at first :) I think that is a safe 'unique' name if that is what you are going for!

It still sounds very common, because there is a trend toward similar names. Riley, Miley, Kylie, ..

Not crazy about made up names. Sorry, jmo. I think sometimes people want a name that ONLY there kid has, so they put a couple names together and viola! It doensn't have to be made up to be less common. Good luck in your decision.

I personally know 1 baby Bryleigh. And one Brinley which feels very similar, and lots and lots of people on cafemom considering it. It is the kind of name that fits the basics of a trendy name (like Kaylee, Brinley, Riley, Brianna, etc) that it feels trendy even if it isn't actually used as often.

Never heard of the name befre today. I thought I named my daughter a unique name too though and then after she was born I heard her name everywhere.

I've met 2 or 3, and have all been spelled Briley. I like your spelling better personally.
