I was wondering how everyone thought of me naming my child Hayden Allen-Abel Tracy because I want to make sure everyone that I care about in my family has a part of the name and plus keep my family's name going on.

Too long...it is nice that you want to honor your family but think of your child. Is Tracy the last name or another middle name?

I like it. I have a family member that does this as well. There kids all have 2 middle names.

I don't have a problem with it. I think it is no different than other cultures that keep the last names of their ancestors, thus having several last names on their ID's. Personnally, I prefer extra middle names to extra last names.

I like it. I'm changing my son's last name to mine (from his bio dad's) and I'm thinking about amending his middle name to read Edwin-Richard instead of just Edwin (so he would be named after both of my grandfathers)

I have a daughter due Feb 20 and her name is going to be Hayden. I just think that is a beautiful name and I think including family is great as well. My daughter's middle name will by Lynn after my husband's mom middle name and my mom's middle name so it just worked for us. :)
    Good Luck Mama!

I like that you want to honor your family, and it sounds nice, but that's a lot of name for one child, especially considering that she will probably marry and take her husband's name as well. Just a thought, of course.

You could just use an "A" name that you like and say it is for all the "A" names. Like our DD is Talya for Trudi and Tatyana - names we wanted to honor but didn't want to use.
