Description:
I found out that, after telling my mother how much I wanted a cookbook and my daughter telling her the same, she insisted she knew me better than my daughter and was going to buy me cleaning products instead (Lysol etc...).
Luckily, my daughter talked her out of it. Bless my daughter!!
FYI- I have a clean house and often get comments from visitors about it so it's not because of that. However, my mother and I haven't been getting along for a couple of weeks.

What would you do if someone gave you cleaning products for Christmas?

I would think it odd if I got things like Lysol or something that's really basic. But if it were something like that Mr. Clean shower cleaner thing...or that steam mop thing, or especially a DYSON DC17 (that I so want) I'd be excited because those are things I'd like to have, but never want to spend my own money on.

Um not for Christmas!! I would be really P'd off!! Of course I would accept it and not say anything. But cleaning supplies for Christmas!!?? That is not heartfelt or personal at all.

it's save me money-- it's something I have to buy anyway, and getting it for christmas would save me time and money at the store...
    I'd just say Thanks.

I'd be thrilled. It would be something I'd use vs the ginormous purple sweats my Mom gave me. I look like an effin' grape in them. LOL

Since you seem to be a really clean person anyway, it doesn't seem like she would be buying you cleaning products to annoy you. My mil is a neat freak and thinks I'm messy so it would not be nice for me to get cleaning products from her, but I wouldn't be too upset if it was a dyson vacuum though!

I'd be graceful about receiving, especially if it was a time-saver sort of thing (and non-toxic), but I'd likely also raise an eyebrow about it and ponder the supporting joke.

I actually recieved cleaning products as per my request for my Christmas present at work. There are things that I wouldnt normally splurge on that I enjoyed getting and trying out.
