If you go with Nikoliah may i suggest spelling it differently.
We used an old ukrainian namef or our son, but it's said how it's spelled but EVERYONE misspronounces it. I NEVER thought people would get it wrong, but EVERYONE does.
And believe me, correcting people gets REALLY old REALLY quickly.... Now my son will have to do it for the rest of his life..
I don't regret chosing the name we chose I just wish people would stop assuming I threw in crazy letters in my son's name to make it LOOK unique and would just say what they saw.

My son was named for his parenal GRANDfathers< hence Josef Gaynor(SayYosef). We prounouce it correctly, but we also call him Joe now that he's 28. I love using the ethnic name, it keeps his lineage alive and you spell it however it's supposed to be spelled! The nurses came in when Joe was 1 day old ans "said"Oh honey you spelled joseph wrong, can we change it?" His Dad roared it's Yosef, Thanks!"...end of story! All these years later there are many "Yoes ' around. And he loves having his own name.

I think Trey means 3 or 3rd... I would probably only use it in the name if you son is your 3rd child or 3rd son. I like Nikoliah maxwell
