My husband and I can't decide on a name at all. He was thinking of naming the baby a Jr. This would make the baby's name Bradley Paul Jr. Is adding Jr. onto the end of the man's name popular? I never really knew anyone with a Jr before.

I work at 2 different schools and you still see it. My 1st hubby was a jr. I don't see any thing wrong with it. It's something for the boy to be proud of, being named after dad.

my husband is a Jr, he is 27 years old and he has had credit problems being a Jr. For some reason some creditors don't check SS numbers and some of his fathers credit faults are on my husbands record. That is the only downfall to being a Jr i think

I wouldn't say it's popular, but it is common. I wanted to name my son after my hubby, but I don't like the little "Jr." at the end; instead we went with "II". So his name is Joseph Anthony C____ II. (the second)

I personally don't like the little Jr. on the end either. I talked to him last night and I think we may have decided but I'm kind of worried the name may be too long. Oh well at least it can be shortened easily. The new name is Benjamin Christopher G________.

The new name you've picked is nice. I don't think it's too long. In my opinion too long would be more than 3 names total. I also have a son with two names that have lots of letters. Nicholas Christopher C____. Names like that are nice, because they can be shortened to lots of different nick-names.

If I ever have a boy he will be Phillip Bryant B_____ Jr. But we will call him Bryant cause I don't care for the name Phillip and two in the house would be confusing. LOL

I like long names, One of my girl is named Jalynn Emma Renae B_____ I think it's cute and both her middle names are after family members.

i dont like JR's, they live in the same house so their names are always gonna get mixed up. even later in life with mail and taxes and everything they get mixed up. ive heard too many bad things about this. why not give the kid his own identity? i would never let my DH name our first born son after himself, not even just one name. To me it seems more like an ego trip then something special. (SORRY ITS JUST MY HONEST OPINION)

I myself didnt want a JR! so we are switching the first and middle name. my hubby's name is Michael Jeffrey and our first son will be Jeffrey Michael. that way the son will be named after the father but dont have to call him JR or have to call them both the same name.

My oldest is a Jr. and nothing special -just like any other name. We do call him by his middle name.
