Actually I was 14 when I got my license as I took Driver education when I was a freshman in High school and back in the l980's in Montana you passed the High school class and the DMV road test and you got your license.

I was 16 but I didn't start driving until I was 22. My parents only had 1 car and they used it and I had nowhere to go (wasn't the kind of the kid that went out and did stuff). Then I was off at college and couldn't afford my own car. I only started driving once I met my now husband in 1999.

16 and I've been driving ever since =) can't imagine being without it!! I was without a car for about a year when I was 18 and had to take the city bus to college...yuck! luckily we lived in a small city so walking to the store, friends' houses, etc. wasn't a big deal

I did have it at 20 for a little while. Then, I satrted having constant dizzy spells and quit driving ever since.
