My son was exclusively breastfed and is still nursing. (Today is his second birthday! ) :)

My little girl breastfed exclusively. She self weaned, starting at 15 months and was done completely at 18 months. Future children will also be breastfed.

Unfortunately, I never got to breastfeed my baby girl and it breaks my heart. She was born when I was 29 wks pregnant, so she was in the NICU for her first 2 months. (She's now 4 months and doing wonderful!!) The first month, she was tube fed. The first 2-3 weeks, I pumped so she got my breast milk through the tube... but being at the hospital 24'7 made it hard to pump regularly, so my milk dried up and they had to start giving her formula. By the time she got home (in November) my milk was completely gone, so I missed that bonding, and I never got to experience it. So for those of you Mom's that get to breastfeed your babies... enjoy that bonding experience and don't take it for granted!!

First son was not bio so no BF. he is incredibly smart and healthy even though he was FF. Second son was BF for 6 weeks, but he was not getting enough nourishment and we had to add FF. I didn't BF for long after introducing the formula. He is also very healthy and reaching milestones far beyond his 22 months -- knows colors, recognizes letters and numbers, talks a mile a minute, very agile too. Our third son is due in July and I plan to FF only since I will only be able to take 7 weeks and do not want a repeat of the frustrations I had with BFing our second son.

I tried to bf with all my children and had too many issues. I was able to pump for as long as the milk lasted.
