Of course I baptized my babies! I want them to receive the grace of baptism, to be marked as members of Christ's New Covenant, to being their journey toward Christ right away! Baptism is a wonderful gift Jesus gave us, of course I want my children to have that gift.
"Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked them, but Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matt. 19:14)
No. We follow the Bible's example and raise them as we believe is right and then they choose when they are of an age to fully understand what they are committing to.
I am not Christian so "baptizing" wouldn't be a choice for me, but I also did not dedicate my child to my religion. I always felt that religion should be her choice.
We feel that religion is a personal choice and can not be picked for you. So, we did not dedicate, baptize or bless our children in any certain religious path.
nope. i dont believe in baptizing an infant who has no idea what the act of baptism means. when they reach the age of accountability they can choose to dedicate themselves to God or not.
My daughter got baptized last summer it was her choice. I love the fact that she loves Jesus. My other 2 will also make that choice when the times comes. My children are dedicated to our church. Which only means we will raise our children and our church will help when needed so they know Jesus.
I did not because I was baptised as a baby and didnt end up feeling like it counted because it wasnt my personal decision. So, I was just rebaptised by choice and I am letting my daughter decide for herself also.
Yes my son was baptised at 8 weeks old in the hospital before he had surgery. Our priest knew how important it was to us to have him baptised before he went under.
