  I've loved this name from the first time i heard it in "The Little Mermaid." I promised myself when i was 13 that when i had a daughter her name was going to be "Ariel!" And when i was 18 I got preganent, and had a daughter. Her name is Ariel. She is 14 in a half now, and she is very smart, popular in school, and funny.

  Ariel is one of my all time favorite names for a girl. It has such a melodic sound to it and is meaningful as well. Ariel is also the name of lead females the the films Footloose, Grumpy Old Men and In America and is the name of the teenage daughter in the tv series Medium. Ariel Winter is one of my favorite young actresses.

  I was the same way. I saw the Little Mermaid and swore that if I had a girl, I would name her Ariel. When I finally had my daughter that is what I named her. I'm expecting #3 and if it is a girl, I'm going with another Disney Princess name, Aurora.
