Proud of smoking?
Description: OK, I am doing this laundry game (which I am addicted to) and keep coming accoss this home page that says something like "proud to be a smoking momma" I am not a lover of smokers (I am an oncology nurse and see its damage everyday), but I am not against them either. But I don't understand how people, knowing what we know about smoking today, can subject their unborn child to the danges of smoke. I am sure that once these babies are born, their mom's don't stop smoking and that means the baby will be breathing in smoke everyday! Don't these moms think about the dangers they are subjecting their children to? Adults can move away from smoke if they choose, but a baby can't. Even for those who smoke outside, their clothes smell like stale smoke and then they hold their baby close to them. I DON"T GET IT!!! Why place your child in danger from the very start of their lives? They will have their entire life to be put in harms way, why start when they are in utero? How do you feel about this?

I think smoking cigs around your kids is stupid and trashy. Even as a smoker I did it outside and away from my girls...

I didn't smoke when I was pregnant. I actually just started smoking again recently and my kid is 3. Just to clarify, I only smoke outside, never in the house/car etc.
